U.S. Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney’s office will host a post high school and college workshop from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at Brewster High School to help students and parents explore the education and job training opportunities that exist upon graduating high school. Invited participants include representatives from regional colleges, local career education and technical training schools, potential employers, job training programs and military service academies to provide information and answer questions.
“As a father of three, I know firsthand how determining the next step after high school can be difficult for both parents and students – especially with the rising cost of college,” Maloney said in a press release. “Pursuing post-secondary education is an investment in a student’s future and it is critical that students and parents have all access to all tools to make the right decisions.”
Brewster High School is at 50 Foggintown Road. Any students or parents interested in attending can RSVP to Lizette Hernandez at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Maloney’s Newburgh office at 845- 561-1259.
Maloney himself is not expected to attend because of votes scheduled in the House of Representatives on Saturday.
