News from Tilly Foster Farm on its Father’s Day event being held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 15:
Archery demonstrations and lessons, wood workshop, birds of prey display and gardening lectures.
Tilly Foster Farm extends an invitation, especially for Dads to join us on the farm on Saturday, June 15th. Visitors will enjoy honing carpentry skills; practicing their technique with bow and arrow; learning how to incorporate low-cost and simple solutions to employ roof-top water run-off for watering plants; and establishing healthy tomato container gardens. These handy techniques can help reduce energy use and promote more sustainable practices as well as making Dads heroes at home by incorporating activities that they can share and teach to their kids.
Visitors of all ages will enjoy the birds of prey display at Noon. And, of course, we encourage event participants to explore the Farm’s collection of rare and endangered early American breeds.
“A Day for Dads” is free and open to the public Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 10:00AM – 3:00PM.
Tilly Foster Farm is located on Route 312, Brewster, New York (Between Interstate 84 Exit 119 and Rte. 6)
Hay rides, bounce house and pony rides provided for a fee.
Thank you to our event supporters: Flying Arrow Sports, Home Depot and the Master Gardeners of Putnam County.
